Guilty as charged for my most recent story. I had the second part all mapped out and got 1,200 words in too. Truth was, it was shite and I had writer's bloc in terms of a decent story and how to end it too. It took a couple of months but got there in the end.
The really odd thing is, I have a storyline for a whole new story but couldn't finish this one. It was all very odd and it's never happened to me before.
I write, in hopes, that you will be satisfied with each story on its own. I want to have a beginning, middle, end and leaving the end to a possible sequel.
If the story is a cliffhanger then to have to wait months, I'd lose interest for sure, unless the story before was recapped in the next one.
I hope I'm meeting my objective with my stories.
Not really. If the story is a good one and I remember what it was about then I will be happy to read the continuation. If too long of a period of time passes by then I may not remember much about the previous parts. Then most likely I would not be anxious to continue reading
If the author put a recap of what happened before at the beginning of the continuation that would make it easier for me to get back into the story.
I lost interest in a story I began last year. I like it but I am having trouble finishing.
