I know that this thread has been made in another category. But I can never find it.

What are you reading right now or... what what is the last book you read?
Kissing your lips while straddling your lap.
Oddly, given that I am not officially Christian, the Bible. I'm in a Bible study thread on another board, a chapter by chapter discussion of the Gospel of Mark. After that, we might skip to John since we did a Luke reading not long ago.
Besides Lush? I'm reading: The Riptide ultra-glide by Tim Dorsey
On Lush: Jake and Stacey by lcsoccer54321
Outside in the real world, "How to make a spaceship" by Julian Guthrie
At least COVID is good for the literature industry....

I finished:

It does a good good at examining the factors that have lead to the political polarization of these recent times.

I am now reading My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell

Kind of a modern day .... Definitely not sexy though if that is what you are aiming for.
I'm re-reading Kushiel's Dart. Also Reading a book called "Daemon."

"The Punished Nonpartisan" <- Extreme BDSM and humiliation story. Heavy on plot. Served on a plate of political drama with a side of domestic terror. Currently Free download.

Jocelyn the Wicked <- futanari, fantasy fan fic, and some tentacles that escaped the laboratory

I usually read one non fiction and one fiction.

This is a great book and if you have any thoughts on the war on drugs you should read this.

This is one I just found out about. I love road trip books.
Trust by Lisa Sell and

Kissing your lips while straddling your lap.
Steve Smith's Men by Geoff Lemon, very interesting to read about the 2018 ball-tampering incident commonly known as Sandpaper-gate, involving the men's Australian Cricket team.

Mostly Lush comp entries the past week. But I am tentatively starting a read through of Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" (the real Greek title is actually just "To Himself" more or less) and my bible study group has moved on to Luke.
Exit Music by Ian Rankin
Re-reading Tony Hillerman's: The Dark Wind

So what brought to a bible study if you're not officially Christian?

Well, the short answer is that I am the admin for a religion and spirituality discussion board and the bible study is a thread on that board.

The longer answer is that I grew up in a Christian family (quite liberal by the standards of the time, but definitely Christian) and did not so much leave that faith as drift slowly away. Since there was no clean break, an interest in the faith and its foundations (i.e. the Bible) has remained. Right now, I am a bit adrift spiritually and have developed an interest in re-engaging with my roots. Not sure I'll actually become "officially" Christian again, but it's more likely now than even a year or two ago.

Hmmm... I didn't know there was a religion a spirituality discussion forum here. At last, a chance to use my degree! Huzzah!

Not here. It's a whole other board. If interested, PM me.

I'm getting a steampunk/lovecraft vibe from that cover. If hero doesn't beat back a tentacle horror with a magical rifle made of brass and cherry-wood, I'll be disappointed.

No tentacles yet, but I'm hopeful. smile Very much a Lovecraft "Color Out of Space" vibe going on. Really good book so far (fair warning, I'm biased, I know the writer).
I like dark murder mysteries. Right now I'm a John Lutz kick.

I just finished reading Shrill by Lindy West today. Hilarious and empowering.
Most Lush moderators will accept tips (read: bribes).

Is this good?

I keep getting this book suggested on Goodreads and amazon. I love southern Gothic realism, but I was worried this one was more of an Oprah's book club kind of pick.

Fuck it... I'll buy it anyway. Let me know what you think though...

I'm reading it now. So far, I like it.
