The Original 1962 Manchurian Candidate opening as you see things aren't what they seem. Black & white made it creepy and cool, as well as more suspenseful.

The roving fight scene from - The Quietman
George Orwell's 1984 done in 1984 where John Hurt is Winston Smith and is taken to Room 101 where "the worst fear and thing in the world is." This was fairly graphic depiction over the 1954 version of the film. And in a twist Hurt played a Big Brother type role in V for Vendetta.

In Marathon Man (1976) Laurence Olivier interrogates Dustin Hoffman and asks "Is it safe?" And then he decides to drill one of Hoffman's teeth as the camera focuses on a light in the room.

True Romance...Christian Slater Patricia Arquette....In the california motel room...mob goon (James Gandolfini) comes to collect cocaine...Him and girl go rounds until she finally gets shot gun and shoots him then beats him with gun. Very intense.
Often times that part gets omitted out even on cable.
Reservoir Dogs (1992): Michael Madsen as Mr. Blonde tortures a bound and gagged cop in a scene that's It's not the goriest scene in movie history, it's not the most violent, it's not the most bloody, but holy shit, It's definately the most disturbing! Scenes shown and set to the music of Stealer's Wheel doing Stuck in The Middle with you. He does a dance and then cuts the ear off the cop named Marvin, and then pours gas on him as the cop begs. I can't listen to the song without mentally seeing this scene.

River's Edge (1986): A high school slacker kills his girlfriend and shows off her dead body to his friends. However, the friends' reaction is almost as ambiguous and perplexing as the crime itself. Especially how everyone in the film is like sprayed with low grade nerve gas not showing any emotion and Christian Glover tries to manipulate things to his advantage as it were a personal media event. Dennis Hopper is a deranged drug dealer who has an inflatable girlfriend. This is one of those films you sit through just to see what happens in the end.

The first five to ten minutes of Dances With Wolves, and the pile of limbs and....ew....ew...ew...gross...ew...and then the sickening realization that actually happened to hundreds of people in real life. I have an issue with any movie where someone has a limb amputated. It just freaks me out. Honestly, I would rather just die. Any scene where someone is being dismembered, tortured or burned really bothers me.

I watch a lot of romance and Disney movies.
Top Gun 1986: A film where you find the real star is the F-14 Tomcat and the REAL Pilots. Along with the enlisted deck crews who keep the planes going. Not the actors who supposedly flew the "birds."

It's a bit depressing but the scene right at the end of "3 Days of the Condor" where RR has tried everything to get the conspiracy out and to tell everyone what has been done in their name and the 'quiet men and women' have already made sure the story won't be published at all.....

There was a huge homage to the scene in an X-Files episode - Unusual Suspects.
Dr. Strangelove: When Vera Lynn sings We'll Meet Again as footage of Nuclear Explosions fill the screen was very poignant.

Scene from the Dead Poet's Society where Robin Williams and Ethan Hawke stand in front of the room and Williams shows that Hawke isn't worthless as he thinks he is and has him reach down deep and recite a wonderful poem that gets it's basis from the concluding lines of Walt Whitman's epic "Leaves of Grass. Something truly inspiring to behold and a wonderful scene.

In The Dead Poet's Society one can't help but admire the defiance of the boys in their tribute to a teacher who truly touched their lives that they give to Robin Williams as Mr. Keating as he walks out of their lives forever.

Two from the same film Casablanca. A heart broken Humphrey Bogart (Rick Blaine)

The orgasm scene from "When Harry Met Sally"

I could not find a clip, but I love the scene from "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" where the Enterprise finally gets through the "Cloud" to do the flyby of VGER. The way the scene shows the relative sizes of Enterprise and VGER is great!
Armageddon: Where they square off in the shuttle as a nuclear warhead counts down

I can't post the video but the girl in the red dress from Schindler's List
Metropolis 1927: Fritz Lang's Silent masterpiece where Maria is transformed. A robot becomes almost human like the terminator in the original movie. Breathtaking special effects for that time period.

At the end of Dead Poets society when Ethan Hawke steps on the desk and whole class too

Could not agree more. I absolutely love that movie, and grumpy, frustrated Bogey is fantastic.
Casablanca when Bogart tells Sam to Play it again and uses this the correct quote: “You know what I want to hear. … You played it for her, you can play it for me!”

Basic 2003: A movie that keeps you guessing and I have to say on this one the whole movie all through the film with all the twists and double backs you question it all the way through.

Violet & Daisy:A mysterious loner (James Gandolfini) leads two teenagers (Saoirse Ronan, Alexis Bledel), who have been sent to kill him, on an odyssey of self-examination. The way this opens you think it will be a shoot em up movie and then changes here is why you think it's a shoot'em up film.

The Battleship Potemkin 1925: The Complete Odessa Steps Sequence which has been used in various forms in many movies with the baby carriage. And first done in this post Russian Revolution movie. The detail in the film is also incredible.
