I know Series 7 was probably a bit too grisly to begin with, but does anyone else think the second half has gone a bit flat?

I'll definitely give you Sasha going out with a bang. God, probably the only bit of classic Walking Dead I've seen all season! That and the Kingdom blazing in to save the day at the eleventh hour.
Otherwise it's been nothing episode after nothing episode. I'm actually going to go so far as to say it was worse than the snooze fest on the farm. At least the walkers were interesting back then.
For me, they've really fluffed the balance of late, racing through Terminus and the Wolves, and then dragassing far too long with Negan's lot. I just need the pay off of them finally getting him. Enough with the edging already!
Fingers crossed for next October.
My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill. Glad this finale did not leave us hanging like last year.
I like how carl became a full fledged badass in the finale. I can totally see him leading a group now even at his age. By the time he's 25 he'll be king shit.
I think that the Eugene episode was my favorite all season.
I have avoided the comics since I started watching the series. I had read up to a few of the events already so some things were not a surprise but others were. They don't always stick to the comic story line. I think they have made some wise decisions on those lines for the most part.
I too was feeling that something was a little off about this season. I did love the finale though, it was cathartic in some ways. Leaving us with some hope and Sasha's story line was a fitting end to her character's arc. It was nice to see Abraham reunited with Sasha and their conversation as well.
Plus who doesn't love a Tiger showing up at a gun fight.
My only nagging thought during the time with Rick, Negan and Carl, was, where was Judith? Would Rick have acted differently if it was Judith's life he was threatening? Glad I don't need to think about that for too long.
I am also wondering just what is going to happen with Eugene. I won't read ahead though.
I thought last night's season opener was reasonably strong, especially for being the 100th episode. It was nice to see the group set up a real strategy to attack Negan's compound. Finally being on the offensive was a nice change from last season's ongoing beat down.
Luckily Negan was wearing plot armour because he could have (should have) been shot about a dozen times when he was in plain view during Rick's 'surrender now' speech.
I'm interested to see how Eugene's character navigates his own personal quest for survival. Does he swap sides again when the Saviours start going down? Does the group let him back in or bother trying to trust him again? I don't think I could.
I didnt have my shittin pants on!
Not CAAAARL! I could take the loss of Glen. It was hard, but I kept watching. Carl was never supposed to die. Early on in the series, Greg Nicotero said the only person guaranteed not to die was Carl. I felt like I lost a member of my family. (Seriously, I sobbed!) Rick lost it when Laurie died, how is he going to take this? And Michonne? She's like a mother to him. I'm pretty pissed off at Scott Gimple for writing him out.
I read that Chandler Rigg's father is steaming mad because he thinks they fired him. What doesn't make sense, is that Gimple said while on The Talking Dead, that Chandler and his parents were brought in before filming to let them know, and explained why. (maybe they are purposely misleading us?)
It has nothing to do with college.
I have to hang on to the hope that he lives through this, but in my heart, I think he's a goner.
Father Gabrial said it was God's will for Dr. Carson to get back to Hill Top to deliver Maggie's baby. She's not even showing yet. Plus, Carl was bitten 'through' his shirt. Not directly on his skin. AND, in Fear The Walking Dead, Alejandro is said to have survived a walker bite and has a chuck out of his shoulder. (**edit** I have since found out he was lying.)
I need to believe this isn't really the case, but they are making it sound pretty real, and permanent.
I'm not ready to say goodbye to the kid, I really like him. He is, IMO, very important to the show. The only originals left from season 1 are Rick, Carol, and Daryl.
My heart is broken. Why couldn't it have been Eugene...Dwight or even Jerry?
**SIGH**
