Ice Cube in Boyz in the Hood. I had never seen it, since I was in elementary school when it came out but his understated performance was poignant to me. But the others are good too. Not a Will Smith fan though. Sorry.

As I thought about it I realized how many rappers there are to choose from. In addition to those mentioned there's Tupac, Queen Latifah, Ludacris, Andre 30000, Ice T, Eve...however, I'd have to say WillSmith is my favorite actor and Andre 3000 in Be Cool was my fave character.

Will Smith is a brilliant actor, and Ice Cube definitely stole the show in the remake of 21 Jump Street. But for my money, Vanilla Ice playing himself in That's My Boy is the one to beat.

My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill.

I was never much into Rap, but several did make the crossover to acting quite well

Mark Wahlberg - Perfect Storm, in my opinion, is where he shined
Will Smith - Wild, Wild West, MIB and Legend are probably his best
LL Cool J - I actually enjoyed him in Deep Blue Sea, he showed promise
Queen Latifah - she's not only beautiful and sexy, but funny and a wonderful actress
