What movie do you wish was redone? Any classics? How about your favorites from when you were a child?
Personally, I think that Gone With the Wind should be remade.
The Flight of the Navigator (1978) Kids would love it.
Enemy Mine (1985) Could be good if it was done right.
Willow (1988) With Peter Dinklage
Big (1988) Tom Hanks directing/producing or acting. It wouldn't be right if he wasn't involved.
Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins would probably be big hits too.
When Worlds Collide (1951)

Gone with wind could be an incredible remake, not sure who I would pick for the leading roles though.
Some movies are so good that I'm not sure they should be remade, but one in particular that I love, and think should be remade is Westworld. Another one is The Magnificent 7, maybe The Breakfast Club and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Gone With The Wind would be an interesting remake, but I can't imagine Rhett Butler as anyone other than Clark Gable.
I hear there are talks to remake The Creature From the Black Lagoon with ScarJo. As the Girl, not the creature, although that might be a neat twist.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.
Forbidden Planet (1950s ish)
I love the plot idea of monsters from the subconscious.
Pulp Fiction remade with The Muppets (Miss Piggy as Mia, Kermit as Butch, Fozzie Bear as Vincent Vega, Gonzo as Jules)
Barbarella comes to mind.
In the world's harsh wear and tear many a very sincere attachment is slowly obliterated.
Είμαι ταξιδιώτης τόσο στο χρόνο όσο και στο διάστημα
Hmmm. Deep Throat?... The one about Nixon.
How about Casablanca or the African Queen?
Or some war classics like The Longest Day or Bridge over River Kwai?
Musicals like Funny Girl or Camelot.
Scaramouche! It's an old MGM swashbuckler from the 50's with a great storyline and beautiful production values. One of the best sword-fighting scenes in the history of film.
Personally, I think there are two huge barriers to remaking classic movies. First, there was so much blatant political in-correctness in most of them that scripts would have to go through serious scrutiny to pass muster. Second, modern directors and producers just have to insert a car chase into every scene. Look at what they did to The Hobbit. I can't even imagine the dreadful antics they'd try to shoehorn into a film like The African Queen, or Gone With The Wind.
Key Largo...Harvey, though they did a remake and it was awful....Breaking Away.
