It was quite UK-centric so it isn't surprising that some of the humor was missed in the USA.
Much of it hasn't worn well but there are some sketches and moments that are still just plain funny.
And Life Of Brian is brilliant.

Some bits I found funny. The humour has dated a bit. We both find ‘Life of Brian’ very funny but the other week we decided to watch Holy Grail and turned it off after 30 mins.
