Few shows maintain such high quality episode to episode, season to season, as BSG. And it very much was a kind of show of the times in a post 9/11 world. Very hard-hitting subject matter. Only one that comes close is Stargate Sg-1 and they did it for damn near 10 seasons. Plus. Katee Sackhoff.

WestWorld has waxed and waned this season. I loved all the philosophical puzzles of season 1. They've kind of run out of those. And I'm not a fan of the Dolores plot this season.

Dolore's scenes have actually become the least compelling bits lately - Benard's scenes, however, shine.

Bernard and The Man in Black.

Ed Harris could act out being a cat and nail it.

My favorites are definitely (in no particular order) Supernatural, Doctor Who, My Hero Academia, Lucifer (which, dear God, someone please either #savelucifer or #pickuplucifer - and yes, I hate hashtags just as much as anyone, but it gets the message across the web), The Gifted was pretty decent, Cobra Kai was pretty good and seems to have possibility, The Alienist, I've recently gotten into Game of Thrones (and am hoping to catch up before the next season), the Marvel shows on Netflix are awesome, of course (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders and Punisher) and I'm curious to see what they do with Cloak and Dagger.

If you hadn't noticed, I watch a lot of shows, mostly about superheroes. lol

I just watch the first two seasons of "Cloak and Dagger."

I was very apprehensive about this, mainly because it's on FreeForm, which used to be the Family Channel.

But, the first two episodes, although were obviously geared towards a young adult audience, were not bad. The best thing about this show is Olivia Holt:

Pretty much the hottest girl in the world....

My all time favorite heist moivie is Inside Man. So when I read online Money Heist was similar to that movie I jumped at it. It took me a full episode to get used to the voice over. The show was original for Spanish (Spain) television. I don’t think the show is as good as Inside Man and I also think it borrows a little heavily from the movie, but all of that being said, it was an enjoyable watch. I did laugh out loud at the absurdity of the Mexican Standoffs and I think that maybe Spanish television is a little more than I’m accustomed to, but it addresses a lot of interesting social dynamics in the show which I thought made it compelling. I found myself sympathizing and turning against the hostage takers at the same time siding with and against the hostages. If you are the type who isn’t turned off by heavy social issues being injected into a narrative I highly recommend it, but be warned it deals with abortion, , infidelity, sexism in the work place, and, misogyny just to name some off the dynamics off the top of my head.

I'm currently watching Blue Bloods and NCIS.
Wouldn't you rather have a nice cup of tea?

Surprised no one has shouted out Sense8. Really intelligent and beautifully-shot sci-fi show, that was cancelled prematurely, but fans protested and got a series finale.

I thought I'd like Barry, but after a couple of episodes, I haven't really gotten into it. I'll probably give it a few more to see if it picks up.

Next up will be Succession which looks like a modern day update of King Lear. The short previews I've seen look good, so I'll give the series a shot.

Don't believe everything that you read.

Just watched the fourth episode of The Terror. Absolutely loving it. Thanks to whoever recommended it on this thread originally. Looking like a great series. Acting is superb.

Terror is very good. One of the best of the year. You really have to watch each episode though. I would recommend after watching each one, going on youtube and watching a review of each one. I found there was a lot I missed.

Yeah, I'm really loving it. I know what you mean. If I had the time I would have binged watched this.

I still have the end of Westworld to watch too. Some great recommendations in this thread.

I watched the whole season of Barry, but I thought it lost serious steam after the first episode.

The first episode of Succession was amazing but I feel it's been downhill ever since.

I enjoyed Sense8 but it wasn't good enough to justify the massive budget. It kind of felt like Heroes before Heroes went to shit.

Sharp Objects

A new series on HBO starring Amy Adams. Quite promising. it was written by Gillian Flynn (Writer of Gone Girl).

I've been watching the original Monty Python's Flying Circus on Netflix. Finished series 1 last week and on to series 2. First episode of series 2 ("Face the Press") is magnificent, one of the few I actually recall from previous viewings. Male cabinet ministers in designer dresses, silly walks, the Piranha Brothers, and a long line of appliance installers arguing about paperwork.

The first episode of his is really good. I really liked the book too (much better than Gone Girl, though I did like the movie of that book).

As embarrassing as this is to admit, and despite the fact that it dates me, I've been binging old episodes of Cheers on Netflix lately. It has aged surprisingly well.

I've had the luxury or penance, depending on one's perspective, of being able to watch a bit more television lately...

Really looking forward to:

Better Call Saul
OITNB
GOT
Billions
(next season next year)

Currently working through Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I absolutely love this show. It's silly and quirky, and it makes us laugh, but the characters and their actors are tremendous. It's not super complicated stuff, and even my kids like watching it. Not a family show, but it works for us on some level. I've never been drawn to Andy Samberg, but I think he's done a wonderful job with this series. Love Rosa and Captain Holt. Currently midway through season 3.

Binged the current season of Comedians in Cars. I enjoy hearing stories about other comedians and their trials and inspirations. The Jerry Lewis segment was moving.

I gave up on Homeland after season 3. Just wasn't working anymore for me, but I love the characters and the premise. However, Claire Danes' acting is grating. With some of the current sub-plot lines, it's sometimes a challenge. Since I can stream for 'free' now, I've decided to see it through to the end. Currently midway through season 5.

Also trying Succession. Interestingly, Will Farrell is one of the guys behind the scenes on this. Would not expect him to be part of this Billions-type effort. I really want to like this show, but some of the characters evoke so much dislike, that I have trouble even watching them. However, like Homeland, I want to see a bit more.

I just finished reading, Sharp Objects. IDK. I don't really want to see it as a television series. I make poke my head in once or twice to check it out.

I agree with DamonX on Barry. Another show I really wanted to like. Didn't. Stopped after a few episodes.

I'm watching Killing Eve right now.

It's quite good. It's about a female psychopathic assassin and the woman hunting her down.

The assassin character is so much fun...

Been watching the Shit out of Rick and Morty. It’s far better than it has any right to be. I feel like I should be watching it while stoned the fuck out.

I really appreciate that they filmed it in Massachusetts and not in Vancouver. I think it adds to the flavor....

I had been waiting for this. I haven't watched yet, I'm saving it for a treat.

I watched The Terror and agree with you a second viewing of episodes and or watching YouTude reviews does help.

Killing Eve was good and they showed extended episodes recently.

I read Sharp Objects and am DVRing the episodes. Not sure if I'll watch it. It's going to hard to get across the complexity of all the characters. That is one of the downsides of anything that gets made into a movie or series from a book.

I just finished watching 100 Code. It was on WGN about a serial killer that travels from New York to continue killing in Sweden. It has an interesting mix of English and subtitles. It's not for everyone, but it kept my interest.

I am REALLY enjoying Comedians in Cars Drinking Coffee (or whatever it's called). It's just Seineld and some other comedians talking for several hours, and they just edit it down and show you the best 20 minutes. Deeply binge-worthy.

Still haven't finished the last Westworld season, though I suppose I will someday. Just got too ponderous and slow for me.

I hope Castle Rock has some game.

Same here. I've just lost interest.

I've finally watched more of The Terror. I have two more left to watch. My God, it's superb. Absolutely love it. The acting is just brilliant. What a show. I hope the ending doesn't disappoint.

EDIT: Finally watched the whole season of The Terror - utterly brilliant acting. Just loved it.

I wish I’d started Parts Unknown when Bourdain was still alive. Such a bloody awesome show. The man had a talent for word play I wish I had but never will. It’s food porn, but it’s also a historical/cultural/language lesson as well.

I agree. I have been watching Anthony Bourdain ever since I read his book, "Kitchen Confidential". I can't watch any of the episodes I have recorded of his show Parts Unknown. It is too hard, but hopefully, I will watch them one day.
