I thought Les Miserables was going to be a porn movie about unhappy lesbians ready to switch. I mean the name lends itself to that right?

Django Unchained

Christoph Waltz is THE man. And Jamie Foxx, Leo DiCap (too lazy to write out the -rio) and Samuel L. Jackson weren't too shabby either. Don Johnson's part very well could have been the best of the movie.

Yes and three times yes! I absolutely loved this film, big Tarantino fan.
Django Unchained was bound to be brilliant with Tarantino directing. The guy is a genius. So that's in my top 5 for sure along with, Dark Knight Rises, Les Mis, The Hobbit and American Pie: Re-union. No way could I put them in order though smile...
In the last three weeks I have seen Les Misérables and Life of Pi, both were brilliant but as a film Les Misérables just edges it for me.

However Life of Pi as a novel is well up there in my top five, a fantastic and beautifully written story that had me riveted to it every day until the end. It made me appreciate the luxury of being able to enjoy a simple bottle on mineral water, something the film sadly missed.
For me this year films are:
1. Zero Dark Thirty
2. End of Watch
Thats it!
Loved Life of Pi, Lincoln, Les Mis, and a little known film called Moonrise Kingdom (a wonderful love story--the love between the two main characters but also the fatherly love the sheriff develops). Oh and Silver Linings Playbook, another great love story. Haven't seen Django yet.
Lincoln and Skyfall. I do want to see Argo as it has an impressive cast. Les Miz? I won't waste my money on it. I can't stand musicals.
The Hobbit! Not quite as epic as LotR, but amazing in it's own way, so looking forward to the next one!
