Westside Story
Jesus Christ Superstar
I define nothing. Not beauty, not patriotism. I take each thing as it is, without prior rules about what it should be.

Not sure but it could be Wicked which I'm going to see in two weeks time. Will keep you posted!
I love les miserables and phantom of the opera.
Seen them both twice..
Hugs,
Mysteria
Sweeney Todd
Sunday in the Park With George
Urinetown (yes it's real, and really good)
The Threepenny Opera
Oklahoma
The only one I ever had a leading roll in, West Side Story. It was fun and very hard work. Decided I would stick to the orchestra, much easier.
Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast are two of many of my favorites.
Phantom of the Opera.
Miss Saigon.
Les Miserables.
Evita.
The Sound of Music.
The King and I.
And many more.
I could show you INCREDIBLE things...
Favorite is Gigi, then Cabaret. I have always loved the classics like Les Miserables and any Sondheim. Also I know Newsies was trashed but I've always loved it.
"A dirty book is rarely dusty"
Camelot
Music Man
Singing in the Rain
i watched 1776 today after having not seen it in a good 12 years. forgot how much i enjoyed it.
Not a massive fan of musicals but for me it would have to be The Blues Brothers.
Carousel, by Rodgers and Hammerstein. It represented another big step away from froufrou plays (Oklahoma! was first) with some songs tossed in (see, e.g., any Cole Porter musical except Kiss Me, Kate). In Carousel we see an evolution to the drama driving the music, rather than the plot being an excuse to link up some good tunes (again, see any Cole Porter musical). This set the stage for Steven Sondheim to go full-blown opera later with works like A Little Night Music and Sweeney Todd.
Besides that, it was the first musical I was part of (Reed II, oboe and english horn).
The females in my family seem to like Music Man. I liked it OK at first, but their feelings for it made me see it too often for a while.
I saw Guys & Dolls a lot growing-up. Wanted to audition when local Summer Stock did it, but they said it had an age requirement I didn't meet.
Next year, sister & I both got in to Summer Stock doing "Big River". Backstage, cast discussed doing a less-famous show, & cast/college staff member said better-known shows are more expensve if you want to put them on.
Point being? Current favorite musical is called "Law Enfarcement", & I'd be shocked if any of you had read that name before.
I love West Side Story, but I also saw Wicked a few years ago and that was amazing! Definitely a close second
