Late in being desseminated from the January 6th commission to the media. Would have been a lot more timely had this come out in August or September instead of 6 weeks AFTER the most recent American national election. Many of these criminals got re-elected in early November.

Since this is so late in the game, the only thing that can happen now - is a Department of Justice initiated set of indictments and prosecutions. The American voting public might have also considered this information though, and voted much differently. Makes me wonder if the Jan 6th commission is all just another dog & pony show. All teeth, no bite.

This edit by the moderators "keeping the peace", made it seem like I insulted WMM but I was actually praising him as a good and entertaining poster despite him being a dumbass at times. But more kinda smart than super dumb. This moderation is atrocious really, I like that.

It strikes me, that if you want the truth told, you don't share anything with Tucker Carlson, who is, thanks to the Dominion Voting suit on the record saying that the truth meant nothing to him or his network.

The problem that i have with Republicans isn't your so-called principles, it's their complete absence. At what point do Republican voters reach a bottom they will not sink beyond? Raskin's remarks came as he was urging the American people to avoid downplaying the criminal nature of what occurred.

"Trump and his followers would invite us to believe that all of this was some kind of spontaneous eruption at a rally that just got a little bit out of control," Raskin said on The Katie Phang Show. "No. This was a very clear concerted plot that took place over many weeks to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election."

"included trying to get state legislatures to void out the Biden slates and replace them with the Trump slates.

It involved an attempt to conceivably overthrow the Department of Justice leadership to install someone who would assert corruption.

And finally, it involved a very concerted plan to try to get Vice President Pence to step outside of his constitutional role and to exercise lawless extra-constitutional powers simply to declare Trump president or to kick the whole election into the House of Representatives for a so-called contingent election where the states would be voting one state, one vote, rather than each of us members voting in that way."

I’d like to make something explicit that’s implicit in this post. Some of Carlos De Oliveira’s suspected obstruction of the investigation into stolen documents happened on Aileen Cannon’s watch.

To be sure, it’s not charged, and the timing of all this is not made explicit in the indictment. De Oliveira is charged with four counts:

• Count 33: Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice (18 USC 1512(k)) from May 11, 2022 until August 2022

• Count 40: Corruptly asking Trump Employee 4 to destroy surveillance footage (18 USC 1512(b)(2) from June 22, 2022 until August 2022

• Count 41: Corruptly attempting to alter surveillance footage (18 USC 1512(c)(1)) from June 22, 2022 until August 2022

• Count 42: False statements in a January 13, 2023 interview with the FBI at his residence

The timeline of this is actually quite interesting. All the conspiracy charges go through August 2022, with no specific end date. That adopts the convention used in the first indictment.

By description, the conspiracies described in the first indictment might otherwise have ended on August 8, 2022, when the FBI seized the documents the obstruction attempted to hide. There was no overt act that post-dates August 8 in the first indictment.

There is in the superseding indictment. There’s this key paragraph, which describes that on August 26, 2022, after Trump confirmed De Oliveira’s loyalty, Trump called him and told him he would get him an attorney.
