I figured it out. The plus sign.

I gave the beta a try on an iPhone. The screen was far too busy to enjoy the chat. The original version was better for me.

I primarily use lush on my phone, and it is a little slow, the text box is too cramped, it isnt easy to see who is in the room, i didnt get sound notifications when i got a message or pm and it isnt easy to see when youve got a pm.or been tagged in a room. And i couldnt see images in my private gallery to share.

What i did like was how easy it easy to see privacy settings and the mentions.

New chat platform is very good, just takes a bit of getting used to. Like all things new!

This is by no means a complete product.

Lets make sure the feedback is constructive, please. This is a place to help us make it better for you, not a place to be angrily typing with your elbows.

The Developers have worked tirelessly on this for a long time. Admin & us Chat Mods have also been working together with the Devs for a few weeks, too.

- We already have a list of existing things that are being fixed or can't be deployed until a later date, due to this version of Chat needing to work in sync with the existing version in the short-term - which is not compatible with some features.

So if you give feedback, and it doesn't seem to be fixed immediately please bear in mind that it may be something that can't be rolled out until the actual migration takes place. 🤝

After a few mins, I came to the conclusion that I really like the Compact look as that's how I have it set on settings since we migrated.

Very clean.

Oh, and for the ones that don't like seeing blocked users in chat, they blessed you w/ the option.

No sound notification but, you do see your name highlighted as seen in previous screenshot*¹.

Seeing as is a beta, settings don't save for the following visit.

And, this is how it look when closing the options on either end.

I love this option. Perhaps, closing either end will look best for mobile users?

Love the new format - but something to be aware of. Basic members can't PM mods for assistance. All we get is a pop-up asking for money to upgrade our accounts...

Why does my block list only display a list of numbers and not the names? I also can't see an easy way of seeing the members list when viewing on my phone.

Ok, I did not see any difference when using compact view. But maybe this is a device dependent issue?

I am on my laptop using Google Chrome. I find it easy, but hard to read the chat when I have the settings set at compact view. Easier for me to know who is chatting to who. But the 3 dots (report button) to the right side of the chat is in the way of letters. And some words are broken up with the start of the word at the end of the line & the end of the word on the next line. This is annoying, & makes it harder to keep up with the conversation when there is a lot of chat happening in the lounge.

Since you have a male gender you do not need the password for the Gentleman's room. Just select Join or Join in new tab.

The development team have been working on Chat V2 for some considerable time.

The Ladies Room does not recognize me as female and requires a password.

I can confrim this issue. I am unable to get in with a test account & have let the team know.

Not quite sure how this is any better than the concise appearance of the current version.

There will be less (currently have been no) reconnections, it's smoother, more responsive, easier on the eye, it seems to be less data-hungry and there will be a whole bunch of easter eggs, too.

Hello, I reviewed the beta chat for mobile (as that's what most people use or will increasingly use in the future). I also used some mockups to illustrate what I would like to experience when using the chat rooms.

This has already been reported.

Private conversations remain open after other party has left so you end up talking to yourself.

Still private album pic posting is an issue.

And gen pop gen has no clue how to navigate in new chat.

Let me start by saying that I mainly use Lush on my phone so I'll talk about the mobile version.

I love that you solved the problem of constant disconnections (or at least that's how it seems from the first hour of use). 👍

Unfortunately, the GUI isn't that nice. The great thing about the other chat was that in just a few taps you could reach everything you were looking for. In this one everything seems more...complex. Too many taps to change rooms, see who's online and go back. 👎

Another very nice thing is the album arrangement when you want to share media. I no longer have to scroll through all the photos before finding the one I want to share but I can go to the album where I saved the pic 👍

I would also like to be able to see (as in the old chat) the gender of the person who is writing in the main rooms (pink, blue or yellow) and a quick profile summary when I click on his/her name. But I understand this is quite personal 😅

There's a lot of work to do but it seems like a good start 😊

In the old version, you tap the hamburger (three lines) to open the room selection and selwct the room. In the new version you tap the room name next to the logo and select the room.

Your PMs are also located here. New room/pm messages are indicated by a "light" next to the room name, as previously it was the same location.

Occupants view:

In the old version you tap the people icon top right. In the new version, you tap the people icon bottom right.

It looks different, but the functuon is the same.

Yes I've seen how it works but seems that i need more taps than the previous version. But I understand that this is a very personal opinion

Good day. I tried the new chat briefly on my iPhone this morning. On the old chat while in a room, you used to be able to select a photo or gif to post from your last 150 or so recently uploaded items in your personal albums. That feature seems to have been eliminated and now you can only select items to post from Public albums. I didn’t see a way to post anything from Private albums. These are show stoppers for me. Comments? Thank you.
