Hi,

I have been away for a for a few months and have arrived back to find a new software for messages. I cannot find anywhere on Lush that tells me how to create a paragraph in a message? Pressing CR/Enter posts the message. I end up sending several short messages to a user.

Also, when I read a message in mailbox rather than the four inch square on the right of the screen, how do I revert back to it?

Sorry for being a numpty.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I had forgotten about that. It works for me.

I suppose there is a reason why it is set up that way, or is it a setting?

There is also a setting - if you go to the list of all your messages and click on the three dots at the top, it takes you to the settings page, and there's one to turn "Send on enter" on or off. It's per device, so if you use your phone as well as your computer, you'll need to set it on both.

I think it's like that because the primary purpose is for instant messaging (like the old black box) so send on enter makes more sense for that as you don't have to touch your mouse to send, but the other setting is there for those of us who send longer messages.

This message keeps popping up w/ every message being received.

I already "Allowed" permission but as you see, keep getting pop-up at the bottom.

I now, once again, hear the "pop" notification sound.

Once again, while typing this message, notification at the bottom popped up.

I've never seen that pop-up on any of my devices. Did you say something snarky to John... again?

You must have blocked lush notifications the first time you were asked*¹

It's always been a thing, even on original lush site.

I will raise this with the development team. Please remind me of your device/os/browser since as I recall its rather unusual.

Yes it's a thing and I haven't nailed down exactly the circumstances it happens. It seems to be if you have multiple tabs open, one of which is the Messages (IM) panel and you're having a convo with someone and then flick away to the other tab. While you're there, if you get another message through, the Allow Notifications From This Website dialogue pops up.

It doesn't seem to do it on all panels (which is why I've not found a convincing pattern yet) but I'm pretty sure it does it if I'm on the forum in one tab and the IM panel in another. Maybe the profile panel, can't remember. It is kinda annoying and doesn't seem to matter if I click Deny. It comes back again next time (that might be a feature of using incognito though).

Please browse my digital bookshelf. In this collection, you can find 101 stories, nine micro-stories, and two poems with the following features:

* 26 Editor's Picks, 69 Recommended Reads.
* 15 competition podium places, 9 other times in the top ten.
* 20 collaborations.
* A whole heap of often filthy, tense, hot sex.

I don't use Inbox feature much on Lush but these pop-ups began once the chat beta was released.

I don't either open a separate window to see all the messages from Lush, I use the small drop box section of Inbox to reply when I'm active on site.
